TIMOTHÉE CHALAMET'S (AND NOW MY) FAVORITE NYC BAGLS

hello world!
@skyhaarsma

If I could fly back to New York City just to eat this bagel again, I would in a heartbeat.

Like can we make this a chain? Actually, it’s probably good I don’t live close, otherwise, I’d be eating bagels 24/7.

Timothée Chalamet’s Favorite Bagels

I originally heard about this bagel shop on social media, someone said it was Timothée Chalamet’s favorite bagel place, so I wrote the name down and didn’t think much about it.

Summer went by, didn’t go. In fact, I remember going to a random bagel shop right outside of Chinatown. The bagel was okay, way too much vegan cream cheese. But they let you add your own oat milk to your coffee and I loved that. I kept refilling mine so much that by the end I think I was just drinking a cup of milk.

Tompkins Square Bagels

Anyways, totally got off topic because that is not the bagel place I’m writing about. I’m writing about Tompkins Square Bagels. It’s located right by, you guessed it, Tompkins Square Park.

Outside of the store, there are about four small (emphasis on small) tables, so it’s more of a grab-and-go situation unless you can snag a chair.

The inside was surprisingly big and the staff was so nice. The girl working the register complimented my hat and I complimented her vintage airbrush zip up. Super cute

I ordered what one of my two bagel order staples (I keep it consistent) is.

I got an everything bagel with cucumbers, tomatoes, and this tofu cream cheese with sundried tomatoes.

And let me tell you, IT WAS SO GOOD. Like I literally give this place a 10/10.

Vegan Cream Cheese

I don’t know if it’s just me or I just really wanted a bagel and anything would do, but I truly loved mine. I thought it was the perfect amount of cream cheese, and they had so many vegan spreads it made my heart happy. Like there were literally five tofu cream cheese options to pick from. They also had some cool flavors (like pumpkin or espresso) and have a whole menu of bagel creation ideas.

Overall it was just a really solid sandwich. Wait, can bagels be considered a sandwich? Yes. I don’t eat mine open-faced, so it’s a sandwich.

I also got an iced coffee to go with it, DUH, and that was pretty good too. I’d give it like a 7 or 8 out of 10. I have had way worse, but it also wasn’t jaw-dropping, which I’m not expecting I literally just order an iced coffee with almond milk.

However, they did have cold brew on tap, but it was broken when I got there.

However, I have a feeling if you ordered some fancy coffee, it would be really good. They offer La Colombe coffee which gives them like 20 extra points. Yummers.

So, in a grand yet simple conclusion, Tompkins Square Bagels is the place to go when you are walking around Manhattan and are looking for a really, really, good bagel. TIGG and Timothée Chalamet approved.

Fashion blogs have always been my favorite thing to read, since like forever. I’m subscribed to all the magazines. My tabs are always full of articles about Bella Hadid or Kourtney Kardashian’s new matcha recipe. I eat that crap up. But I was always annoyed when I opened a fashion blog. Instead of getting the scoop on Devon Lee Carlson or the new SSENSE sale, it was some old person I never heard about or some crazy designer that only makes clothes for the elite.
