Last weekend, I attended the Spring/Summer 2025 Vancouver Fashion Week. Helping out backstage and attending the show. Between the chaos of finding heel sizes, steaming, putting outfits together, and mingling with designers and models, it was absolutely lovely. Every designer's collection was beautiful and unique to their brand, with outstanding garments. I also met the kindest people there and spoke with a few models on their modeling journeys, as well as some designers' stories.
I worked and helped out mainly two designers (Any Luck & Irene De La Vega) .The first collection was obscure, unique, girly, and more current silhouettes with fun patterns and a Tokyo flair. The second designer was very 90s classic girly with fluttering colours. Every designer's collection was beautiful and I had an amazing opportunity to watch the show unfold on the runway.
If you’re a high fashion lover like me, I would 100% recommend volunteering at a show near you solo or while traveling to help out for a day or two. Getting out of your comfort zone and speaking to like-minded people is truly fulfilling and pushing limits towards your passions. Speaking of, I am definitely planning to attend next season's Vancouver Fashion Week. Catch me there! XO
