The mini bag and the shoulder bag are everywhere. They are the “it bags”, and no hate I have an obsession with collecting as many as I can. Literally, everyone owns a shoulder bag and if you haven’t caught on to that then you have been living under a rock. Kendall Jenner is always seen strutting her stuff with a small bag and Devon Lee Carlson even did a collab with Marc Jacobs to make a mini bag.
But are mini bags forever? Def not. And I think their time is slowly coming to an end, but nobody wants to admit it yet. While everyone is still getting their matcha from Alfreds with their vintage Dior Saddle Bag, the thoughts of the Olsen twins and that worn-out Birkin is slowly occupying the minds of it-girls.
We’ve all been living in that early 2000s Y2K era where Paris Hilton and Mischa Barton repped everyone’s fav mini bags, but all good must come to an end and as we grow in time we are starting to lean towards the later 2000s, where a giant purse was all the rage.
I mean, it only makes sense. We started in the early 2000s with our love for a super tiny bag and now we switch to the later 2000s with a super-obnoxious-throw-everything-in-it bag. I mean I’d love to see queen Devon showing off a Louis Vuitton Multicolor Keepall 45 or the Balenciaga Work Bag. It's only time until she's posting with a Balenciaga City Bag and I will stand by that.
We’ve seen all there is to it when it comes to a micro bag and nothing shocks me, anyone. It’s all designers copying designers and I want to switch it up. I’m literally bored. Bring in the oversized tote!
And if Kendall can go from that micro shoulder bag to a giant Bottega Veneta Jodie bag, anyone can. In fact, it’s kinda iconic for you.

Remeber how I said I need to see Devon with that city bag? Well, she just posted with one and I had to share how on point we were. Queen Devon has spoken, so you better start eyeing some big bags ASAP.
