Whether you don't live in Los Angeles or don't want to spend $17 on a smoothie, here is how you can craft the Hailey Bieber Erewhon smoothie at home and still be included in the fun and all the skin benefits.
This recipe contains some fancy ingredients, like hyaluronic acid and sea moss, which are worth the purchase because you can add them to your future smoothies and get the total skin benefits these products offer.
However, if you want to make this smoothie with what you already have in your fridge, simply skip the fancy products. They don't add much flavor or texture, so you don't need to substitute them for anything.
But because the smoothie base only features a few ingredients, I wouldn't sub those out. The avocado is great for your skin, and since that's the whole reason behind this drink, I wouldn't skimp on it. And since this is a strawberry smoothie, obviously, don't sub out the strawberries.
A quick note for those who aren't as familiar with these ingredients; this smoothie can get very sweet very fast.
It has dates, maple syrup, and stevia.
All of these ingredients add sugar and sweetness to this drink, so you only need a very small amount of each. If you add a regular serving size for each of these three ingredients, you just made your smoothie 3x as sweet.
But hey, if that's what you were going for, then, by all means, you do you!
I also want to talk about the brands behind these products. These are the exact brands that Erewhon uses, but they are also great brands.
Vital Proteins has my favorite collagen, and MALK offers a great non-dairy milk with no extra additives, just one ingredient.
That being said, if you have other brands you prefer or don't want to purchase something totally new for this drink, then feel free to use what you have on hand.
I'm just letting you know that these are the brands that Erewhon and myself would choose, and I highly recommend them. Not just for this drink, obviously, but in general!
