Kitten heels and slingbacks are to the modern it-girl what Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo's were to Carrie Bradshaw. And it-girl game recognizes it-girl game. So whether you are a Charlottle or a Carrie or a Samantha or a Miranda, you can't argue the fact that Carrie knew how to put together and look, and we all want a pair or two of her shoes. But we also aren't women in our late 30s in New York City living in the time before Pinterest and Instagram. But despite our differences, we all love a vintage Prada kitten heel. I mean, even Bella Hadid got a new stylist to get her hands on some vintage pumps for the Cannes Film Festival.
You might be wondering, what is it that the modern-day it-girl is looking for in her heel? Well, let me tell you. It needs to have a pointed toe, it needs to be either a kitten heel, mule, or slingback, it needs to have some sort of extra detail, like a little stud or bow or cutout shape. And bonus points if it's vintage.
And I will say the thing about kitten heels and mules is they are basically sneakers - meaning they can be worn everywhere and with everything. You can dress them up or down, they look with day wear or night wear, whether it be blue jeans and a white tee or a slinky dress, they always eat. Also, they are quite nostalgic. I mean, don't they remind you of those little plastic princess heels we used to all wear everywhere, even though our moms told us our feet would hurt? Yeah, we knew then, and we know now that pain is temporary and fashion is forever (but hey, don't get me wrong, I do love a pair of Uggs).
So whether you prefer a slick black look (Miranda), chic white with a little black bow (Charlotte), leopard print (Samantha), or a suede pink kitten heel (Carrie), you'll find a shoe on this list.
On a side note, your next purchase definitely needs to be from this list. Let me tell you—I just bought some pink suede Tony Bianco mules, and they were my best purchase of the summer. I wear them 24/7 with all my different outfits for all my different occasions, and I couldn't recommend any new it-girl kitten heel more.
I'm going to be totally honest: up until about an hour ago, I didn't even know you could get cute clothes from Amazon. Personally, I enjoy scrolling through a website, selecting the cutest pieces, and doing the whole add-to-cart thing, but in this day and age of fast-moving technology and next-day delivery, is adding-to-cart dying out?
So I decided to try and find the cutest things I could off of Amazon for those times when you want a tank top and don't want to spend $75 on it, or you need a baby tee ASAP. I put together this list to make finding it girl styles on Amazon super easy because, let me tell you from personal experience, finding cute clothes on Amazon is anything but easy. You can put in every keyword and copy a title exactly, yet the piece will never pop up. So after spending half my day scrolling, hitting the next page, and trying to type in any and every keyword I can think of, I found the cutest it-girl-approved pieces from Amazon.
And now you can shop them in record-breaking time.
Spring is officially here, which means I have a whole list of current obsessions for this season. Below, I’ve put together a few things that I have been super into lately that I think totally emulate springtime. There’s a bit of fashion and beauty, along with some literature recs and a playlist that will become your new go-to when you’re driving around and soaking up the fresh air and warm weather.
Low-rise leggings with a fitted bell bottom designed by Kaia Gerber are the perfect piece of loungewear to add to your wardrobe this spring. This item can be worn casually to the gym or just hanging around. But it can also be easily elevated and take you from night to day. Kaia Gerber’s sense of style is sophisticated mixed with a carefree Malibu girl, and these pants are exactly that. These will definitely be a staple pair of bottoms you will be reaching for this spring.

I have never read a book quite like Joan Didion’s The Magical Year of Thinking. There were a lot of moments when I had to put it down and sort of stare into space for a minute because the way she writes is just truly so incredible. She captures grief in such a transparent and honest way. Her writing is blunt and she doesn’t hide her feelings of anger and despair. There have been times in my life where I have dealt with loss and grief and I would turn to articles hoping for comforting advice and I would mostly get these sort of motivational quotes like “Live your life and make them proud” which always seemed so strange to me. Was anyone going to just be super honest for a minute and talk about how difficult the grieving period actually is, and how it basically never ends? I wasn’t sure someone could actually write about it. But as soon as I read the first page of The Magical Year of Thinking I felt confident that I had picked up the right book. “These people who have lost someone look naked because they think themselves invisible. I myself felt invisible for a period of time, incorporeal. I seemed to have crossed one of those legendary rivers that divide the living from the dead, entered a place in which I could be seen only by those who were themselves recently bereaved.” Joan Didion definitely gets it.

I’m such a major fan of anything by the SC Collection, which is a handmade jewelry company based out of New York. Their pieces are what I would describe as “beach glitz.” I’m currently obsessed with their Daisy Necklace, an 18” charm necklace that adds the perfect touch to any spring and summer outfit. It has gold-plated rhinestone charms, antique chunky gold chains, and a delicate clasp. Basically, it’s the necklace of my dreams. And it’s named after Daisy from The Great Gatsby, as the website tells us. How perfect is that?

Another Kaia Gerber obsession I’m bringing with me as we enter spring. But can you blame me? She’s the ultimate it girl. I recently discovered this playlist she made with Apple Music a little while ago and while it’s technically for summer, most of the songs give me spring energy. It’s a mix of old school classics with breezy rock. Think Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, Hall and Oates…It’s the ultimate playlist to drive around town with the windows down.

How else are you going to keep your face protected from the sun while looking cute at the same time? With a pair of sunglasses by Oliver Peoples, of course. These oversized granite sunglasses I found by them on The Real Real are so in for spring and summer.
With the weather getting warmer and summer right around the corner, sunshine is on everyone's mind. And with the sun, comes a high UV, which means sunscreen. Ideally we wear sunscreen everyday all year long, but this is the time of year to get your hands on a new one (or a better one) because not all sunscreen is the same.
Personally, I've struggled with finding good sunscreens. I've made my fair share of mistakes, like buying one from a brand I thought would be good, and then it totally left my face like I just went to a kid's face painting party and asked to look like Droopy. Or sometimes, when you finish applying and look like a total grease bomb or something gets into your eye, and you're blinded and burning for the rest of the day.
But I've done my research (as I do), and I've compiled the list of TIGG-approved sunscreens so you can safely shop knowing you'll look good, feel good, glow good, and most importantly - protect your face good (I think well is the proper word but a play on words is more important than the grammar lessons we got in eighth grade).
"A lightweight sunscreen serum with Collagen Peptide that helps protect against sun damage and helps visibly correct early signs of aging." - Kiehl's
I recently tested out this sunscreen the other day because I'm a fan of other Kiehl's products, so I wanted to see if their sunscreen would hold up - and let me tell you, it did. It was super soft and lightweight and felt amazing on the skin. It also left my face with this soft shine that was super natural and not oily at all. Plus, after using it and washing my face, I still felt great. I loved the way it sat on my skin, and the product even claims to help improve skin texture and tone. So, a sunscreen that not only protects you from the sun but improves your skin and makes you look good while doing all that? I'll take it.
"This cult beauty favorite gives your skin a sunkissed glow, without the sun damage. We created Glowscreen to mimic the warm radiance your skin gets from being in the sunshine, and we packed it with expert SPF protection and powerful ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to keep your skin looking luminous all year round." - Supergoop!
This is my go-to base during the summer because it's really all you need for a hydrated, glowy, and slightly tinted base. If you want the same effect but don't like the tinted aspect, then the Unseen Sunscreen, also from Supergoop!, is amazing as a glowy sunscreen but even better underneath your makeup. It truly is the best primer for a natural and glowy look.
"EltaMD UV Daily Broad Spectrum SPF 40 is a sheer, lightweight moisturizing sunscreen formulated with hyaluronic acid to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is ideal for daily use on normal, dry and combination skin. This broad spectrum sunscreen contains micronized zinc oxide to protect your skin from damaging UVA (aging) and UVB (burning) rays." - EltaMD
If you want a basic go-to sunscreen without any thought, this one is probably a safe option. It's a classic, easy to find and buy, and loved by many girls.
A nice lightweight sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast on your skin (because that's really the basic essentials when it comes to sunscreen). If you like a super light and thin sunscreen, then this is for you. If you prefer a thicker, creamier one, I'd reach for something else. However, based on all the sunscreens on this list - this one is my least favorite.
You guys. I was recently over at a friend's house, and we were going outside, and I needed sunscreen (because, hello, UV 9, you can't go out without sunscreen). It was a predominantly boys' house, so this was what was handed to me. I didn't really care, and I was expecting to be left with an insane white cast, greasy skin, and stinging eyes, but whatever; I didn't want to ruin my skin in the long run. But oh, my gosh. I LOVED this sunscreen! It was sheer and not sticky at all and left me with such a natural and soft glow, but I didn't look greasy at all. If you told me this was Chanel's new high-quality sunscreen, I would've believed you and spent $100 on it, no problem. It's really a great example of a great product with an unappealing package, and for $10, you don't think you are getting much - but wow. Perfect for beach days or travel, or even everyday wear, this is a much purchase.
The chic girl is classy and timeless and turns heads without doing a thing. She believes in quality over quantity, and would rather have one perfect thing than a bunch of almost-perfect variations - and her gift guide reflects this. She loves dark colors and thrives in deep brown, red, or black. But she does love a cream-knit sweater. She reminds me of a more mature "clean girl" who wears Max Mara coats, woody perfume, and a darker lip. She always engraves her possessions, has perfect hair, and never says no to an expensive white wine or espresso martini.
This gift guide features essentials for every chic girl or the perfect pieces to become a chic girl. A dark red lipstick from Chanel is perfect for late-night drinks and an oversized wool coat is a closet staple for life. Black flats are timeless and these leather ones from Ref are so comfy, perfect for running around. And in honor of one of the original chic girls, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, a pack of headbands is a must. The perfume on this list is so chic and of course, the chic girl has a tortoise paddle brush! And we know soft and luscious hair is a must, think of Charlotte York (another chic girl blueprint) and her gorgeous locks; so a hair mask needs to be in your bathroom or your shopping cart. And lastly, of course, your bag is chic so what's in it needs to be too. A leather card holder and an engraved phone case are classy and timeless and the perfect gift.
'Tis the season for Christmas lists, and what better way to kick off The It Girl Guide's gift guides than with the cool girl? Whether you need a link to send to loved ones to subtly send them ideas or you know a cool girl in your life who would love something here, you can't go wrong with the cool girl gift guide.
"A unique recipe, a cosmetic prowess: its “reverse emulsion” brings instant comfort and deep moisture to the driest, most dehydrated skin."
Not mentioned: it's super cute, super chic, and super cool girl. I mean pulling this out of your bag? It's like I said above - très chic.
Ballet flats are everywhere, and the cool girls love 'em. Not because they are everywhere but because they know that they've been here circa Alexa Chung and Jane Birkin. So they aren't hopping on this trend because really, you're hopping on theirs.
Whether you like to host, or you just like a cute glass. The little cherry is everything and I can definitely picture these glasses in Carrie Bradshaw's apartment if she were a modern-day it girl.
The leather bag charms are perfect to Birkinify your bag or even to add to your keys. And everyone needs a cool lighter. Whether it's for those cigarettes in Paris (even if you don't smoke you'll be berated for a lighter enough times that it's just easier to carry one with you) or just to light your overpriced candle with.
A cool girl's night out needs a chic slip, and this silver one is bringing all the energy. Whether you are getting drinks, dinner, dancing, or just walking around, this will become a closet staple.
Hair perfume takes your routine to the next level and I swear by it. Whether you like a messy mane or a sleek and spiky updo, it should be finished off with a spritz of this.
"Mojave Ghost is a woody composition inspired by the soulful beauty of the Mojave Desert. In this xeric wilderness, rare are the plants that dare to blossom. With a light and graceful character top notes of musky Ambrette combine with fresh Jamaican Nesberry. Powdery Violet then unfurls to reveal Sandalwood. Finally warm Chantilly Musk rounds out a base of crisp Amber and Cedar wood, leaving the raw spirit of Mojave Ghost to linger on the skin."
Navy blue and light pink! It's the perfect shoe for the girls who wake up and choose between which aesthetic they want to embody today and now they don't have to.
Chill pill bath bombs? A Joan Didon coffee table book? Need I say more?
I live for a chic coat. Live for it. So the second fall hits I scream in excitment to break them out. I feel like a kid about to get a hug from Santa. It's a warm embrace. A warm, fuzzy, hug that makes your smile so big you think this feeling will never go away, and for the rest of the day you float around remembering that cozy feeling. That's the love I have for a vintage Christian Dior fur coat. Or any of my other coats that I love dearly, for a mother could never choose a favorite child. Although one just might get mentioned a few more times than the rest.
But that warm fuzzy embrace doesn't have to just come from Santa or the smell of cookies, it can come from a soft textured oversized wool trench.
And the same way a winter feeling feels different from a fall feeling, that theory applies to coats. The action of throwing on your trench in London over your pajamas on a cold and rainy day is a different feeling than running out the door in NYC throwing your vintage leather jacket over your tank top and jeans. But oh how they are both so yummy.
Now, you might starved from this delicious taste of fur, wool, and leather (faux is more than acceptable in fact it's encouraged) but now is your chance to order the decadent chocolate cake off the menu. But in this case, we're reading the menu alla TIGG and ordering through our shopping carts, because sometimes that just feeds us more.
The Carrie Bradshaw of coats. The chic, the French cigarette, the red nails, the drinks at a NYC bar, the fabulous. That's a fur coat. Styled at night over a slinky dress, kitten heels, and a clutch for a head-turning look.
The perfect coat for those moments when you want to look and feel chic but you still want to be undeniably comfortable. This is the Olsen twin of coats. I like to throw on a chic black wool coat over some pajamas, or silk pants if you want a look that looks like daytime clothes but still emulates the pajama pants.
The London look. She's a classic, an undeniable it-girl. Slightly more European, but can still be fun and fresh when not taken too seriously. I'm still talking about the coat by the way. I like a trench styled with a white crewneck, some slouchy pants, black sunglasses, and unstyled hair.

The oversized blazer can be a total it-girl look when worn properly. It needs to be styled with pieces that show off your personal style, rather than what you think it needs to be styled with - that's the key. And stay away from small chunky gold hoops when wearing an oversized blazer, now's your chance to reach for something else and it will look so much better, I promise you. I like a boxier men's shaped blazer but I do appreciate a women's one every once in a while. For. a daytime look I might just pair it with a pair of low baggy jeans and a red cotton top with either sneakers or ballet flats. Then for a night look, I'd wear it over a mid-length dress with some Mary Jane flats, black eyeliner, and a vintage shoulder bag.
My personal statement piece. Very city and edgy and can elevate any outfit. I've definitely grown my collection of leather jackets and it's hard for me to go to a city without leaving with a vintage leather jacket. But you can never have too many coffees, Vogue magazines, or leather jackets.
I love simple looks, and I do have to say about 90% of my outfits are not colorful, which you will notice. My staples are blue jeans, white tees, tank tops, tube tops, and leather jackets, and it's always paired with my lived-in hair and iced coffee or matcha - depending on what looks better with my look. And I love a shoe that contrasts my look, so if I'm wearing a more feminine look, I like a boyish shoe, and if I'm wearing a more boyish look, I like a feminine shoe.
These looks are my style, so you find that you enjoy them and recreate them, or use them for inspiration and make them your own. If you like more color in your wardrobe, buy colorful pieces. If you have a more girly style, all of these looks will look great with a miniskirt and kitten heels.
Also, with these looks, everything can be mixed and matched. I'll switch around the pants or switch around the tops, and I still love each look. You could say that it's because most of the pieces you'll find me in are simple closet staples, and you would be right.
My final note is that all of these outfits can (and should) be paired with an edgy oversized leather jacket to really complete the Sky look.

This is a super comfortable and flattering look that I would wear to a coffee shop, shopping, or lunch with the girls in the city. It's definitely a fall/winter staple look for me, and you will catch me in this a lot this November and December. And if the weather ever drops below 75 degrees, I'll throw on my leather jacket. And if I want to be extra cozy (or if it's before 1 p.m.) I'll wear my Uggs. But no matter the weather - I'll still have an iced coffee in hand.

This is definitely an all-year-round look for me. I switch out the fabric and color of the tank top, and sometimes I'll reach for sneakers, but this is pretty much the look most of the time. I love low baggy jeans that are still flattering, and if not paired with a tank top I would go with a baby tee that's probably from Realisation Par.

A classic fall fit for a coffee run. I love sweaters, especially oversized but flattering ones. I'll pair it with some boxer or boy shorts that you can't really see, and then add some edge with these buckle flats from Ganni that I'm obsessed with. And you know I'm here for a studded fall this season. Another variation that I might do of this look is an off the shoulder sweater (but just off one shoulder) and then with either my Uggs or some tall black boots. And I will say that I like 99% of my sweaters to either be black, grey, dark blue, or red.

This would be an all-year-round look for me but winter is normally the only time you can wear long sleeves and long pants in L.A.. Red has been my favorite color this year, so I love red pieces, but I would also wear this look with a black long sleeve or a thin knit black long sleeve that's oh so slightly see through (super subtle though that's the key). However, this red shirt is more of my casual version. The teen Jodie elevates this look to the next level, and you know I love my boots so duh. To take this day look to night, I'd add my - you guessed it - leather jacket. I'd also probably add some small black sunglasses now that I'm thinking about...

My final look, and she's a goodie. I'm obsessed with the round-neck cardigan (as we all are) this season, and this is how I style it. I only button the top two buttons and then wear a top that's the same color. Then I paired it with a denim mini skirt and some Adidas.
I can confidently say that I've figured out my personal style, and I know what I like and what I don't like. If you had to label it, I guess it would be considered a mix of 90s minimalism with model-off-duty and a mix of feminine and boyish pieces, but I just like to call this Sky's style.
When it comes to trends, remember that you don't have to follow every single one that comes your way because when you get so caught up in the trends, you lose who you are. Once you have your own personal style, watch the trends that come your way and just pick and choose what you like. You should be picking pieces that reflect your personal style more, not constantly trying to mask your confusion about what style you love with all these trends.
You know I had to chat with my girl Agnes (better known as diordaddy on Twitter) for the ultimate French it-girl interview since she is the epitome of that. She always is cooking the most gorgeous, delicious-looking food and always serves timeless and effortless looks. Today, we talk about a guide to Paris, from cafes to linen dresses, and we let you know that one watch is out, and you need to be wearing two at a time.
Hahaha omg okay that’s honestly really difficult, I’m always down to try new places so I try and not repeat going to the same places too often. However, my favorite restaurant is probably La Méditerranée or Ralph’s. Both not typical French cuisine lol, but as a pescatarian, typical French cuisine isn’t honestly my thing. As for cafes, it’s difficult because I’m still on the hunt for the best iced coffee in paris and typical cafes don’t always have that. Generally, though my top 3 cafe-ish places would be Wild & the Moon, Soho House, and Season, I know there’s more I just can’t think of right now.
Omg thank you ☺️. I’ll share a breakfast and dinner option hehehe but for breakfast right now I love omelettes so I usually have a mushroom, onion, and chive omelette with a slice of rye sourdough from my favorite boulangerie. As for dinner, it’s my favorite thing to cook, so I could eat it every day, but oven-roasted salmon coated in dijon, dill, and some chopped walnuts. Then on the side, I’ll make a kale and arugula salad with a Dijon yogurt dressing and add some micro greens and pumpkin seeds to that, and that is a perfect meal in my eyes.
I feel like I rarely shop these days, but long-time favorites include are Brandy, Skims, Celine, Levis, Aritiza, and recent additions, the Frankie Shop, Kith, and always Vinted.
This is so basic, and I’m sure anyone who knows me saw it coming, but Kaia Gerber is honestly my go-to style icon at the moment and probably will be forever. Her style is super simple but still elevated past a level of basic, and she looks amazing all the time, obviously. So she’s definitely someone I always try and emulate because I’m more so on the ‘basic’ and ‘classic’ side of the style spectrum, and I rarely go for crazy out-there styles. Some other people I always find inspo from are Orion Carloto, Emily Oberg, @themillenialdecorator, some of my friends, and of course, my sister.
Linen Dress 100%. As I learned last year, it gets so so hot, and because there’s not a crazy amount of airflow through the city, it feels even hotter than it is. So if possible, pair your favorite sandals or white sneaker with white linen dress. Shorts are out, and you definitely don’t want to be caught in any basic sneakers, so find one that suits your style, or go for the classic, a ballet flat.
I love a good yogurt bowl, and as soon as the seasons turn from winter to spring, I’m back to the yogurt bowl as breakfast, so for the moment, my go-to is this delicious Swiss milk lactose-free yogurt from my bio shop, paired with homemade chia seed jam, blueberries, pumpkin seeds, and if I’m craving some extra sweetness my favorite german honey.
I am indifferent to the type of yogurt, to an extent, because my go-to is lactose-free yogurt, so I don’t know if that falls in the dairy or vegan category. Sadly, we don’t get Cocojune or Coconut Cult yogurts in Paris, or else I would 100% be choosing those; I’m already counting down the days till I’m visiting my family in the US so I can go crazy at the grocery shop. I had a phase where I loved Siggis Skyr Greek Yogurt, but in the end it really f****d with my skin, and I’m still seeing the negative effects of it to this day, so definitely no to the full dairy.
Too many things; number one right now is a vintage Kelly bag, to be honest. I’ve seen some really nice ones at my favorite vintage designer shops, and I might just save up for it. I’ve been searching for a new bag since my birthday, and now that I’m doing an internship, I definitely want one that’s slightly bigger than any in my current collection. However, in slightly more realistic terms, my wishlist in short, Bottega Veneta Sardinia bag in Maaroon, Tom Ford Jasmine Rouge, Gucci Jackie in Green, a new watch, and too many new vintage shoes including Dior kitten heels in baby pink, Brown Chanel Loafers, Chanel Flats in forest green, and Manolo Kitten Heels.
It would definitely depend on which season I’m styling it for because, in my eyes, you can and should be wearing white tees every season. However, since we’re entering spring-summer now, I would pair my favorite white tee, either from Brandy Melville or Skims, with a classic oversized pair of Levi 501s. For the shoes, I’d go with my white sambas or the classic black Chanel flat (if it’s for a night out though, pair it with my favorite Manolos). Then, the most important part, accessories, so I’ll pair the look with my go-to Hermes and Bulova watch (I love wearing two watches, don’t judge me), a gold bracelet, 2-3 gold rings, and favorite pair of sunglasses, and with this look, I’d match the color of the shoes to the sunglasses and bag, so most likely black Celine sunglasses, and my Ferragamo bag. As for the coat, I’m currently obsessed with my mother's oversized Burberry trench that I took from her, so I will definitely be wearing that, but I hope soon enough it’s warm enough out that I won’t be needing that.
For the first official TIGG interview, I talked with Bella Lombardi about fashion, confidence, and so much more.
For those who don't know, Bella, @bella.lombardi on Instagram is a total fashion guru with her podcast, Bitchin With Bella, and killer photography account, Pix by Bellz. Her outfits are to die for, and she's always on top of the latest trends and hottest brands. I mean if you are looking for some new fashion inspo, look no further.
Bella and I were able to talk and create this written interview for you girls and I would love to see you hotties join the conversation in the comments. You can hear more of Bella talk on Spotify or Instagram, and you know where to find me.
Anyways, let's get into the deets.
I would describe it as my own and curated to everything i love. I've always tried labeling my style but I like to have all my favorite styles/aesthetics all together in one.
It took years to figure out my personal style but currently its all of my past aesthetics put into one. I also think thrifting helped me find my style and inspired me to go outside my comfort zone experimenting with different clothing pieces.
90s/2000s it girls street style, Bratz dolls and me haha
Definitely baggy low rise pants, the perfect baby tee, low rise pleated mini skirts, corset tops, baggy denim jackets, long denim skirts, bandanas, floral dainty tops, fit and flare mini dresses, baseball caps, light knit cropped cardigans.
thank you! ♡ and honestly thrift stores are my favorite places to shop. Depop, Poshmark, The RealReal are also amazing places to find stuff, i find myself preferring secondhand clothes because theyre so unique. As for non thrift stores I love Revolve, Princess Polly, Brandy Melville and I.AM.GIA.
I say just go out and do it! Get yourself a camera stand with a phone attachment, find somewhere with good lighting and just start taking outfit pics, i've been trying to become an influencer since 2014 so it's definitely a lot of work and based off of luck but there will always be someone who loves your content so just go for it! It's a fun way to show and grow your creativity.
I love Charlotte Tilbury, their foundation and lip liner are my absolute favorites. Rare beauty blush is the best blush i've ever used. Glossier mascara is great and Makeup by Mario plumping lip serum is to die for.
It's definitely tough ignoring all the comments i see about myself online especially when it's about my body because i've had insecurities and body dysmorphia for half my life but ive been on the internet for a while and spent all of high school getting bullied so ignoring the hate is something i had to learn. The secret to not letting people get to you is to think "Is this person important to me? Do they inspire me? Would i want to be them?" if the answer is no to those questions there's no reason to let them effect how you feel (:
