A lot of people might consider this Coachella really underwhelming or even disappointed. I heard one girl call fashion and personal style officially dead after this festival. But is that really the case?
With this new wave of super candid and casual Instagram posts, I think that carried on to real-life a little bit. Everyone kinda wants to look like "I just threw these jean and tee on and I look super casual but still super hot." I mean even Kendall Jenner posted an insta photo in front of trash cans. And I mean no hate, it's just a new vibe.
Those iconic festival-hippie-cowboy-indie vibe outfits and hairstyles we once saw are kinda gone now. No more long blue-haired King Kylie and Kendall Jenner with the most festival-like jewelry ever. Now it's an influencer Shein frenzy, or in this case, sweatpants and white tee vibe.
Kendall Jenner wore the really popular balloon pants, hers were from Local European we see all over insta and paired it with a white tee and two slick back braids. And while this outfit is really cute and simple, I would wear this to go on a quick coffee run.
But Kendall wasn't the only it-girl to keep it casual... Emma Chamberlain took it to another level. For day 3 of Coachella Emma literally wore sweatpants, slip-on vans, and a cropped tank top. No hate, but like what? This is what I wear when I'm staying in my house all day...
However, no shade to either of these hotties. They look great and they probably just want to keep it lowkey. I was excited to see something really good, so it was just a bit weird to see this for Coachella. Maybe they weren't there to serve and they just wanted to hang with friends and not think twice about their outfit... who knows.

I went to lunch with my girlfriends yesterday, and my queen Lauren asked what she should wear this summer. I jokingly said you could check TIGG, but then I realized that she should totally be able to check TIGG for that info!! So while I will 100% be sharing some outfit inspo, stores, and lookbooks, later on, I thought, why not start with giving you a basic outline of how to dress this summer. And while some of it might be common sense, it's a good way to check your closet and see what staples you have or need to get. Because I get it, sometimes dressing in the summer is hard. It's so hot, and you keep going back to those jean shorts and either an oversized Sublime shirt or a Brandy Melville top from 2019. So this article is great if you're looking for some super quick new staples that you can resort to and look like the ultimate it-girl this summer without even trying. Oh, and thanks to Lauren for being my supportive queen, this one's for you, MWAH.
First up, let's talk about denim shorts. I love a jean short, like don't think I was hating on them earlier because they are 100% a closet staple. It's just all about the way you style them! And if you like wearing them as I mentioned earlier, then you do you, I just want to give you some super easy ways to expand the way you style them.
The quickest and easiest outfit with jean shorts would be with a wife-beater, a vintage zip-up jacket (Abercrombie, Juicy Couture, etc), lots of accessories, and either cowboy boots, chunky sandals, or dad sneakers. See how easy that was?
Now if you really wanna elevate your jean short looks, upgrade to Bermuda shorts. They are so ugly they are so hot! Bella Hadid is a fan of them and I am too. You can style them the exact same way I mentioned above, or you could pair them with a tank top and crochet off-the-shoulder long sleeves (which you could even DIY). And feel free to add a pair of big tinted sunglasses or small black ones.
Staying in the shorts category, they don't have to be denim. In fact, there are so many cute shorts out there that aren't denim, yet people seem to always overlook them, and IDK why. I think a pair of tight but stretchy, colorful, striped shorts are the move! Pair them with a baby tee and you have the more effortless but trendy look. Add a pair of cowboy boots or a chunky sneaker and BOOM. I love the shorts from Gimaguas, they are literally perfect for this look. You could also pair them with a tank top that has a matching color and then tie a jacket around your neck. So cute.
And if shorts aren't really your thing but you still want to show some skin, mini skirts are your best friend. In fact, you can never go wrong with mini skirts.
If you are looking for a new fit to wear to the beach, here is exactly what I would do. First, throw on your favorite bikini (preferably from Frankies) and make sure the strings on the bottoms are thin. Then add your tiniest denim mini skirts (because skirts should be the size of a belt) and pull up the bikini bottom straps out from the skirt so you can see them. It's giving Y2K is it not? Now add a wife beater that you cropped yourself, bonus points if you can see the outline of the pink bikini top. Throw on some platform flip-flops or Simon Miller bubble clogs and tada! Accessorize as you please and I encourage adding a tote and picking up a smoothie on your way.
You can even wear this fit without needing to go to the beach. Ditch the bikini and trade the flip-flops for knee-high boots and the tote for a shoulder bag. And if you aren't loving the transparency of the white beater feel free to switch it out for a baby tee.
And if you want to show less skin, trade the mini skirt for a midi skirt! I'm a proud lover of both. However, midi skirts can get flowy so I would suggest either wearing a tight top with a flowy skirt or a looser top with a more skin-tight skirt.
And when it comes to midi skirts, tube tops and baby tees are your best friend. You could go for a monochrome look with a matching tube top and flowy-ish midi skirt, or play with graphics with a casual and funky baby tee with a simple tight midi skirt. Oh and feel free to go with a maxi skirt too, those are also great when styled properly.
And on that note: tube tops! Tube tops are definitely the move this summer and they are so versatile! Dress them up or dress them down and you can pretty much pair them with anything. Here are some simple ideas that you can keep in the back of your mind when you don't know what to wear:
If that didn't convince you that you needed a tube top like yesterday, then IDK what will. Oh and don't worry, I wouldn't leave you hanging like that. The most perfect and cutest tube tops you can find are from Djerf Avenue. They have a bunch of colors and they fit perfectly, miss Matilda knows what she's doing.
You might be thinking, "well I don't want to have to think about what matches this summer, I need something to throw on and go," then that's where these two pieces come in.
A flowy dress or overalls will be your savior this summer. Just grab and go! You only need one pair of really good overalls and just throw on a bikini or baby tee underneath and you are good to go.
As for a summer dress, the options are endless. You could go short you could go long you could go tight you could go flowly blah blah blah. Whether it be a vintage short and silky slip dress or a long tight one from Skims, you only have to throw on one thing. Personally, I prefer a flowy summer dress, it's just so angelic and feminine. I feel like I want to just frolic around in a field of flowers or hit up a farmers market and grab a coffee with my besties.
And when it comes to styling a dress, you could do pretty much anything. I think for a shorter summer dress a pair of cowboy boots, sunglasses, and a small vintage purse is all you need. For a long dress, I would add more jewelry and wear either a chunky sandal or flip-flop. And you can pair it with either a big or small purse.
Well, there you have it, babes. I hope you can have some ideas now for what you can wear this summer. It's my favorite season to dress for because the possibilities are endless! But like everyone else, there are days when I have to get dressed and everything I thought I knew just goes right out the window. So I know I will definitely be coming back to this article when I need to know how to style something. Pairs Hilton once said the wise words: “skirts should be the size of a belt. Life’s short. Take rises.” Like could that be my yearbook quote?
And it seems to be that Miu Miu and their mini skirts are the faces of this trend. Every person and their mom has been seen wearing the iconic Miu Miu runway look, featuring a cropped mini skirt and a cropped sweater.
So I’m not surprised that Miu Miu brought back their iconic skirts (that haven’t gone out of style yet) for their Fall 2022 show. Except rather than a cropped work pant, it's more of a preppy schoolgirl vibe. The looks were giving tennis at the country club and NYC socialite has to wear her private school uniform but gave it a little snip to make it more fashionable.
I’m also a big fan of the ballerina-esq leg warmers with the flats. It's quite obvious that Miu Miu is keeping its eye on current trends, and they know what the people want. I wonder when we are going to see stylists switch from the old Miu Miu skirts to the newer ones, or if they will become sick of this look before they can do that.
The legendary founder of Off-White, Virgil Abloh, who sadly passed in November, had his last show. This beautiful venue featured a giant crystal chandelier in the middle of a white room filled with icons like Rihanna, ASAP Rocky, and Devon Lee Carlson (and a bunch of other cool people).
The show itself also had an amazing casting director because all of the supermodels showed up for this one. Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Candice Swanepoel, Joan Smalls, Helena Christensen, and the list goes on and on.
Let me tell you, the looks did NOT disappoint. And Bella looked AMAZING. Like words cannot describe. Her in that white gown and killer sneakers and strutting her stuff, her aura was indescribable.
I also loved the fact that Kaia and Cindy walked a show together, talk about goals. Cindy wore a long layered tulle skirt with a varsity shirt and cropped blazer. Her hair also looked stunning per usual. Kaia wore a short puffed-up blue skirt with a yellow tee that said “POP” and carried around the latest iPhone. Queen.
And I wanted to point out that I loved the little black dress that says, “little black dress” on it, worn by Kendall Jenner. However I wasn’t a huge fan of the kitten ear hats, it's giving middle school and I’m not really a fan.
According to miss style queen, @devonleecarlson, and miss nail artist queen, @nailsbymei, each model had different nails. How iconic is that? And yes, I love throwing that word around. Shut up.
Before the show, Devon also took us around for a little behind the scenes, which was super cute and dare I say…iconic. It was giving Fashion TV and I loved it. We got interviews with @karliekloss and @gigihadid, and we even got a little outfit run down from Devy boo. She wore the CUTEST denim set and her bangs looked so good. Great move.
Overall, the entire show was simply stunning. Between the clothes, the music, the vibe, the location, the models, everything was utterly stunning. It’s definitely a show that will be on repeat for me. You can view the whole collection here.
I have said it before and I will say it again: an iced coffee is the best accessory. It literally elevates every outfit and every photo.
Like every time I go out I’m like, “I need to be holding a coffee right now.” And you can think to yourself, “um what that’s so random.” Or “everyone just has a coffee because they are drinking it.” And if that’s you thinking that right now, then leave. Because the girls that get it, get it. And those are the girls who I love.
And it's not just me who always wants to have an iced coffee in her hand. I mean look at the super it girl, Bella Hadid. She is always caught carrying a delicious iced coffee or iced matcha (btw matcha is just as acceptable as coffee). And you can’t tell me that she doesn’t look super hot doing it. I mean Bella Hadid always looks hot but you get what I mean.
And this isn’t something new, and it doesn’t always have to be the same vibe. Like using a drink as an accessory can be SO VERSITALIE and give like 100 different vibes.

Can you tell how much these pictures have been elevated because of that trendy matcha? Like it was giving it girl because it's Bella Hadid but now it's giving it girl because she's an it girl whose giving it girl. Ya know?

The vibe is literally just the Olsen twins. Like that's the mood and that's the goal with this coffee.

Whether you really did just finish pilates, or you went grocery shopping, holding a green juice of iced coffee is going to not only elevate your mood, but it's going to elevate the vibes. And the paparazzi pictures. So grab your matching workout set and drink of choice and go be that girl.

Because what says more effortless than, “oh I just stepped out to grab a coffee, I didn’t even mean to look this drop dead gorgeous *hehe*”
When Miu Miu first introduced its Spring 2022 Ready-To-Wear collection, we didn’t realize how actually ready to wear it is. I mean at this point you would have been living under a rock if you haven’t seen someone in this micro skirt and belt. Don’t get me wrong, the set is super cute, but I think these celebrity stylists need to look elsewhere for a sec.
This super popular set has a Y2K meets preppy vibe. “Trousers are cut into abbreviated skirts, sweaters and shirts carved out to reveal the body. Edges are left raw, elements of construction exposed in commemoration of the spontaneity of these actions.”
Hailey Bieber and Emma Corrin wore the set for the Miu Miu s/s campaign and Nicole Kidman for Vanity Fair. Even Saweetie posted in this runway look.
Kiko Mizuhara also wore Miu Miu for Muse Magazine and the photos were EVERYTHING.
The most recent it girl seen wearing this set was Paloma Elsesser, who was the cover girl for I-D Magazine. She was on The Out Of Body Issue and OMG she looked AMAZING. She ate this up and left no crumbs.
Honestly though, if I could get my hands on this set I would. But we don’t all have stylists, but we do have thrift stores. You could totally run over to your local Goodwill and grab an old man’s sweater, button-up, and work trousers. Then all you gotta do is cut them as short as possible, keeping that raw edge. Talk about DIY queen. Just keep in mind, with this look you can’t be scared to show a little skin.
Or even just take inspo from these looks and make it your own. My it girl Courtney Mawhorr cut up an old Brandy Melville sweater and totally pulled a Miu Miu moment and she served.
I think the moral of this story is that you should grab a pair of scissors, your dad's sweater, and the shortest skirt you can find and take on the world. Totally hot.

Miaou just released part two of their Spring Summer Collection and lemme tell ya: it's everything and more. I haven’t seen a collection from a brand recently where I need everything, but I need everything from this whole collection. Like I pretty much put every single item in my shopping cart.
Matching sets, corsets, and micro skirts are all the range in fashion right now and Miaou hit it out of the ballpark with theirs. They offer everything I just said and more in this new collection and it truly is giving everything.
Miaou said the collection was inspired by a Paris meets Punk vibe and they totally nailed it. The pieces have a young and flirty Paris aspect, but that fashion icon New York vibe.
The only way I could think of describing the pieces is you know that fashion influencer who is such an it girl and is invited to the floral Dior pop up in New York and then has dinner at Carbone with her friends and wears all the trendiest clothes? That girl is buying this whole collection right now.
It’s giving Devon Lee Carlson, Lindsay Vrckovnik, Bella Hadid, Savannah Hudson, and Amalie Gassmann. AKA all the it girls that I just described.
My personal favs from this drop are all the mesh sets with the super tiny skirts. They are perfect.
The new collection offers mini skirts, mesh tops (long sleeve and short sleeve), corsets, bikinis, dresses, pants, tube tops, one-pieces, capris, and leather. So basically everything anyone could ever want. Honestly, if you didn’t like this drop then we definitely have different ideas of hot.

These Airpods Max from Apple are not a cute price (around $500) but they are super cute. Everyone has the silver ones so do what you will with that information.

Remember when Lily Rose Depp was always seen with a pair of wired headphones so everyone used wire headphones as an accessories? Same vibe here. Except these don’t come with your iPhone. But they have a really cool sleek look. It’s giving NYC socialites getting coffee after class.
These headphones are wireless and have a great sound system, plus they are super comfortable.
